(Hamilton County Highway Patrol car). Originally powered by a "police" 427c.i. big block Chevrolet engine, with the best handling components at the time, there was "nothing" that got away from it. It was used by the Hamilton County Highway Patrol until 1983, when it was retired. The car was auctioned off in 1984. Jeff Fallon of Fallon Bro's Automotive purchased the car (cheaply). He was so impressed with the cars performance and handling that he decided, something more needed to be done with the car. In 1985, he took the car to the Mid Ohio Road Course track and ran the course in a prepared class. It did very well. The car even doubled as a Pace Car for awhile afterwards. Sometime around 1986-1987 the car was taken to Edgewater Park Dragstrip to be ran in a bracket class. The car did so well, Jeff decided to add more to the car, to go faster and move up in the ranks of IHRA/NHRA racing. The local police wanted the car to be used as an "Exhibition Vehicle" with full lights and such, but Jeff and the brothers had added a bit more than the Exhibition class rules would allow. According to horse power/frame configuration and weight, it was placed in the ranks of S/G. There were few other cars in the ranks at that time to match Da Fuzz's hp and speed and so it usually did "by runs", setting track records and top speed times at Edgewater, Indianapolis Raceway Park and other tracks.
